As a requirement of his Ph.D., Dr. Dulai was required to conduct basic scientific research. Fortunately, his professor relocated the entire lab to The Institute of Ophthalmology soon after he joined. The Institute is world renowned as a center of research excellence, regularly out ranking both Oxford and Cambridge Universities in this respect. Here Dr. Dulai learnt the skills and knowledge of cutting-edge research in molecular genetics. He was able to publish over 20 papers in peer reviewed scientific journals, including Nature, and making the cover of Science.
